Although food poisoning is a distinct possibility with airline food (savvy travelers avoid aspics, creamed foods, seafood, gelatin salads, and desserts), the FDA, through the U.S public Health service Act , makes every effort to watchdog domestic airline caterers, both on the ground and in the air, to assure travelers of safe food and drink. many airlines cater to those on restricted diets, because of either health or religious taboos, but require at least twenty-four hours notice for a special menu(low-calorie, low-fat, kosher,etc.).
